Rochester Park North Border

Saturday Brunch
Brought Inho to Rochester park after we went register my basic theory

Rochester Park is only beside NTU and 10 min walk from Bonia Vista Train Station.. Not that far if you dont drive :)
We intended to go Graze for their European style all-in-a-pan brunch

Too bad Graze was off that morning!!! -.- brunch session is only available on Sunday :( So the hungry couple stomped back to the only restaurant open..

North Border - A Northern American Restaurant

We picked alfresco seat to enjoy the morning shine

This place is like a hidden gem surrounded/secured by hundred year trees

It's cooling here, even though it's scorching hot outside :)
They offer set lunch at affordable price.. Inho picked the 4 course meal without having a second thought.. while i picked my 2 course :)

Free appetizer - home made salsa with nachos
Very fresh very good we are totally digging in it

My Starter - Cheese stuffed jalapenos
Served with nachos and cracker bowl with mango salsa dip

OMG!!! Little spicy~ delicious.. the cheese they use is perfect with this spicy monster :) Shiok!

Inho's starter - Ahi Tuna served with baby spinach salad

I dont know issit becoz of those strong salsa and jalapenos that tone down the favor of this tuna?? or this is not very to our liking? So-so only.. prefer the baby spinach to the tuna :p baby spinach is so refreshing! yum~

Inho's soup Gazpacho - Chilled cucumber yogurt caviar soup

Special, unique, never try before.. still we prefer hot soup! haha

Here comes our entree - Suppose to be mine's Rib Eye Steak
Served with honey salad and pan fried potato in au jus

Beef Cheek served with smashed potato, onion ring and baby spinach

Super tender meat that melt in your mouth

Inho's dessert - American cheese cake (His fav) and coffee

While i have my usual English breakfast :)

we spend exact 2 hours for lunch~ from a light brunch to 2 hours long lunch!! haha :D truly enjoyed and we totally heart this kinda of relaxing weekend~

The horrible Japanese restaurant that made us queued for 2hours!! Yesh 2 hours!!!

Menu and their food are heaven and hell apart.. Deceiving!

Steam Edamame $3.80

This is what we get.. Xixi insist to put her mini finger beside the ebi to show how small they are... n where is the tempura powder? So different from the menu! $9.80 ++ which mean each mini prawn will cost us $2.50!! Consider their size this is day light robbery!!

Beef that have a cowie smell.. $9.80 i dont like it.. Not tender at all! golden mile food court beef noodle stall cook better beef than them~

Scallop $6.80 Very small but taste good~ we love the sauce

Crispy, juicy.. not a fan of it but pretty good

Lijuan desert.. she say it taste like king's ice cream + cacao powder -.- and yesh everything are miniature in this restaurant~

We ordered this!! Mango and strawberry daifuku!! they look so beautiful~

and this is what we get~ fugly looking lumpy pc of shit that look really like cha siew bao meat~ I don't know how they have ways to make strawberry look like minced cha siew bao meat!! wonderful.. and we asked 5 time before our desert came.. very bad coordination between the kitchen and floor server~ Worst Restaurant of the Year!!

Everyone changed so much... 3 among 5 of us already got engaged or married.. Juan house is almost done and Jen house is on the way~ the other 2 also had their stable bfs :) and our topic changed from where to play where to shop where to makan to how men behave in the process of courtship, engagement and married.. -.-"" Gals, dun ever say things like nvm la dont need to buy present save money lah~ Men will take it for REAL!!! i mean REAL!! so shut up and stop these words from slipping out from your mouth~ ;P

I went bakerzin first but w/o promotion their single pc are very small and pretty pricy~ $6.50++ a pc .. i have the intention to get 3-4 pc in mind.. too expensive!!

and then i saw Rive Gauche.. the Japanese bakery by Pokka (the green tea) company

I have been eyeing on the Mont Blanc and the Lychee for quite sometime

Not as smooth as what i have in mind.. maybe becoz it is chestnut? I think the older generation will like this~ i think its very 古早味.. Ha *not for people who love creamy cheese cake*

I am so in luv with this!! I never tried lemon cheese cake before.. they are surprisingly good!! the tangy favor linger around your tongue makes you crave for more~ *melt*

The lychee tower that i always wanted to try.. looks sooOo pretty!! but!! this is the only disappointment i had.. nothing special.. just a layer of cake on the outer and vanila cream inside.. Plain jane~

Kallang Leisure Park

Inho gave his baby a name... called Ah Vic~ haha he is inspired by the way we Chinese like to add "ah" infront of our name ... So Civic has a new name.. call Ah Vic :) Sounds quite nice (to me) ahaha i shall post more "growing up diary of ah vic" in my blog too~ he has been with us for a year and a half already.. time flies~

Met Michelle and Aaron for dinner at ECP then Kallang Leisure for late night movie "9"! crappy show.. Kallang Leisure is free parking at 10pm!! They like the place becoz both Inho and Aaron have "human phobia" they dont like crowded places.. ;p

The kena forced to go husband.. This was the husband first attempt to join in this kind of ghost month auction dinner.. the husband was shocked and annoyed by the noisy environment.. and never want to attend again.. ever~ Ha

I also agreed with the husband.. too noisy and ridiculous (in my point of view) i never understand why the dad never fail to bid and shock me with ridiculous figure.. very very scary.. every time he give a quote our heart skipped.. My family is not loaded.. i don't understand why they spend so much money in religion in these~ even though these will be covered under company bill but this time the amount is high till it can cover my degree fee!! my 3 yr loan *and i still paying it* i am very pissed... and left halfway~

Best way to avoid conflict in culture clash is not to see it.. we probably wont join them for these kinda even in the future~ for good..

My Dad's Car

My dad mod his car until very beng/很台~ even inho asked if these are my brother's work.. No!! It's my dad!! He even placed an the LED light that can flash his company web site beside his IU -.-"" at the brim of every door there are blue nylon light.. the place where u rest ur leg also blue nylon light~ -____________-!!!
